Today, 3 News sat down with a geologist at the Harte Research Institute who says, as far as anyone knows, a tsunami has never hit the Texas Coast. One, if an earthquake ever happened in the caribbean or canary islands, then that could trigger a tsunami in the Gulf of Mexico.
