Can 3rd year student apply for gate?
As per the newly changes introduced in GATE 2021, candidates who have successfully completed their 10+2+2 or 10+3+1 are eligible to apply. Also those who are currently appearing in the 3rd year of their UG degree/ higher years of study or graduated in any Govt.
How many attempts are there for gate?
There is No Restriction on the number of GATE attempts. One can enroll and appear for the exam as many times as they want.

Is 8.2 A good CGPA?
A cgpa of 8.2 is good indeed. Most companies keep Their Placement eligibility criteria above 7.5 to above 8. Some huge companies( Google, Microsoft, etc) may keep it above 8.5 .
Is a GPA of 7.5 good?
A GPA of 7.5 will get you shortlisted for almost all the companies. You will be allowed to appear for the written exam, in which you will have to perform good. The companies on the higher end may demand a GPA of 8.0, depending on the college and scenario. Thus, in my opinion 7.5 is a very good GPA.
Is 7.9 A good CGPA?
9-10 is brilliant. 8-9 is about average and very good.
