Why is BEO important?

Why is BEO important?

A Banquet Event Order, commonly referred to as a “BEO,” is a document that outlines the details of your event. It serves as a guideline for the hotel to execute and communicate logistics to all necessary hotel departments.

What should a BEO include?

Your banquet event order should include, at minimum, the following details:

  • Contact Information for the Hotel.
  • Event Date.
  • Event Theme.
  • Event Start & End Time.
  • Guest Headcount.
  • Space Requirements.

What other names could the BEO also be known as?

Beryllium oxide (BeO), also known as beryllia, is an inorganic compound with the formula BeO.

What are the two main styles of banquet service?

Why do we need to repeat the orders of the guest?

When you repeat back the order, you are at minimum showing that you understand and you so reduce the stress they might feel in worrying that you may not have heard correctly and they may get something they do not want (and will then have to deal with the embarrassment and inconvenience of this).

What are pre meal services and its importance?

Pre-meal is the place where we take a collective breath before things get lively every day. If you show up a few minutes before we open and see a dozen or so staff sitting at a table tasting some food and talking, we are just getting ready to take better care of you.

What are the types of meal service?

There are three main types of meal services: pre-plated, cafeteria style and family style. In addition, there is a combination style, which can include elements of two or all three meal services. A pre-plated style of meal service is similar to that found in a sit-down restaurant.
