The work of Delphine Emissions is based on a field survey, conducted during two years at the end of the 1990s, in social services in paris, primarily in education services and sector of the two districts with contrasting profiles. It was to pay attention to all aspects of the work of social workers : meetings, interactions with families, exchanges with leaders, constitution of the files, discussions between peers. Interviews are a complement to the ethnographic observations.
