We should end global warming, crime, war, racism, terrorism, cancer, pollution, poverty, climate change and more.
Why do I want to change the world?
People want to change the world not because they think the grass could be greener, but because they are hopeful for a more peaceful and productive society. They have a version of the world inside of their heads that they can’t stop dreaming about, sure that they could make a difference in somebody else’s life.
Why should we save our planet?
Pollution from burning coal and natural gas to make electricity is altering our climate and putting life on earth in jeopardy. Solar is good for the planet and is now cheaper and easier than ever before.
Why our planet is in danger?
Climate change driving entire planet to dangerous ‘global tipping point’ Oceans, and the corals that live in them, are under extreme stress from climate change, and could be at the point where too much damage has been done to recover from it.
What will happen if we destroy the environment?
Food shortage as the lands become barren and the oceans become fishless. Loss of biodiversity as whole species of living things disappear due to deforestation. Pollution will eventually become unmanageable and affect our health. Rising temperatures may be too much for all living things on the planet.
What does deforestation do to the earth?
The loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change, desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and a host of problems for indigenous people.
Why we should stop deforestation?
Keeping forests intact also helps prevent floods and drought by regulating regional rainfall. And because many indigenous and forest peoples rely on tropical forests for their livelihoods, investments in reducing deforestation provide them with the resources they need for sustainable development without deforestation.
