Can you claim benefits as a full-time student?
You can only usually claim income-related employment and support allowance while studying full-time if you also receive disability living allowance or personal independence payment. Your entitlement to income-related employment and support allowance depends on your income and capital.
Can students get job seekers allowance?

Does parents income affect youth allowance?
Young people under the age of 22 can access the full rate of Youth Allowance if they are independent from their parents. However, if they’re still dependent, then a parental income test applies.
