What are the requirements for Teach for America?
In order to be considered for admission to the Teach For America corps, you must satisfy three prerequisites: bachelor’s degree; a minimum cumulative GPA; and citizen, national/legal resident, or DACA status. Read more about each prerequisite.
Who is Teach for America?
Teach for America is a nonprofit organization that provides leadership to strengthen the movement for educational equality. Through the organization, recent college graduates (now called corps members) commit two years of service to teaching in disadvantaged communities.

Do you need a teaching degree for Teach for America?
Teach For America requires that all applicants possess a bachelor’s degree by the start of our training program (between early and mid-June), which varies depending on your assigned region.

Where does Teach For America get its funding?
How is TFA funded? Teach For America raises money nationally and locally from a diverse set of donors, including businesses, foundations, government organizations, and individuals. Approximately 29 percent of our operating cash contributions come from public sources and 71 percent from private sources.
