How do you introduce a group of characters in a story?
A couple techniques I’ve noticed authors use, some for making characters distinct and some for hiding them:
- Grouping.
- Simplify.
- Tell one significant story about them.
- Distinctive physical traits.
- Humor.
- Introduce no more than a few per scene.
- The less important a character is, the less page space they should have.
