Yes, students from all majors regularly enroll in Semester at Sea. More than 40 majors are typically represented on any given voyage.
Is semester at sea only for college students?
While the Semester at Sea voyages are designed for undergraduate study, and the vast majority of participants will be in that undergraduate population, we do look at post-baccalaureate students on a case-by-case basis.
Is Semester at Sea expensive?
With Semester at Sea program fees ranging from around $26,000 to $32,000 for room, board and tuition, the program is not cheap (there are far more affordable programs out there). When you add books, immunizations, personal programs, visas, and airfare, you can expect to pay $35,000 to $41,000 for the full program.

Can you do semester at sea more than once?
Yes, however, you can transfer your application to a different voyage without reapplying. You will be required to provide updated transcripts, to be considered for admission to the later voyage.
How old do you have to be to attend Semester at Sea?
Are there age or physical fitness restrictions? We welcome trip participants over 10 years to join us. While there is no maximum age, all participants must be physically fit, active,and in good health.
Can UK students do Semester at Sea?
Semester at Sea welcomes students who attend international universities to apply for the program and international students can apply as any of the following: Traditional Undergraduate Student: Undergraduate students make up the majority of the shipboard community.
Does Semester at Sea have WIFI?
The ship is also equipped with wireless internet access that enables participants to access web-based email services. A limited amount of free Internet time is allotted to students, and after it is used up, additional access minutes may be purchased on the ship. Phone services are also available.
