Is Stuyvesant High School a specialized high school?
As a specialized high school, Stuyvesant offers a wide range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These courses focus on math, science, history, English, or foreign languages.
Is the Shsat hard?
The SHSAT is a very difficult exam and it has changed for this year. The new handbook isn’t even out online yet. I do have a hard copy of it. The new math section is no more difficult than last year.
What is considered a good Shsat score?
To be on track for admission into all of the Specialized High Schools, students should have a 400 by the start of 7th grade, a 500 by the end of 7th grade and a 600 by the start of 8th grade. The ultimate goal is to score a 650 by your final practice SHSAT before taking the exam.
Can I use a calculator on the Shsat?

In the school that I attend, Chemistry is generally regarded as a 9th or 10th grade course. Actually, a lot 10th graders in my school (block-schedule) opt to take normal chemistry in the fall semester and AP Chemistry, an equivalent to a 1st year college chemistry course, in the spring semester.
