Create a Turnitin account as a Student
- Go to www.turnitin.com and click on the “Create Account” link next to the “Log In” button.
- Click on your account type as a “Student”
- Enter the class ID number and the class enrollment Key provided by your instructor.
- Enter your first name & enter your last name.

So I wanted to know can professors upload handwritten papers into the turnitin database? Yes, they can, if the professor processed it through Lens or some other OCR before submitting it to TurnItIn. Still, there doesn’t need to be a hit on TurnItIn for a professor to suspect plagiarism.
