Are LED lights wired in series or parallel?
Unlike LEDs that are wired in series, LEDs wired in parallel use one wire to connect all the positive electrodes of the LEDs your using to the positive wire of the power supply and use another wire to connect all the negative electrodes of the LEDs your using to the negative wire of the power supply.
Can I daisy chain recessed lights?
You can not daisy chain multiple lights together. If you are using aspectLED Ultra-Thin extension cables, always purchase the appropriate length cable and never connect multiple extension cables together.
Should I use 4 or 6 recessed lights?
Size and Layering Size recommendations say to place 4-inch lamps 4 feet apart and 6-inch lamps 6 feet apart. However, these are general guidelines. Smaller task or accent lighting using 2-inch or 3-inch lamps can work in conjunction with well-placed general recessed lighting.
Can LED recessed lights be covered with insulation?
You could hire an electrician to replace each fixture with a sealed one rated for insulation contact (IC). Now it will be safe to heap insulation onto that spot. I do recommend that you replace your bulbs with LEDs because they’re so energy-efficient, but make sure they’re rated for use in fully enclosed fixtures.

Can fire rated LED downlights be covered with insulation?
The short answer is that in most cases you cannot just cover fire rated downlights with insulation. Fire rated downlights are essential for safety but it is important to remember that they still need lots of air both around and over them in order that they can dissipate the heat created from the lamps inside.
Do LED lights get hot?
LED bulbs do get hot, but the heat is pulled away by a heat sink in the base of the bulb. From there, the heat dissipates into the air and the LED bulb stays cool, helping to keep its promise of a long life. That’s why it’s fine to stick with incandescent, fluorescent and halogen bulbs for enclosed fixtures.
