Why does magma rise to the surface?
Magma can rise when pieces of Earth’s crust called tectonic plates slowly move away from each other. Magma also rises when these tectonic plates move toward each other. When this happens, part of Earth’s crust can be forced deep into its interior. The high heat and pressure cause the crust to melt and rise as magma.
Why does magma produce on the right side of the arrow?

Can lava destroy diamonds?
The melting point of Diamond at about 100,000 atm is 4200 K, which is much higher than the temperature of lava. So, it is impossible for lava to melt a diamond. But the twist is that at atmospheric pressure, it is almost impossible to melt diamond as its burning point is 900 °C (1173 K).
Why do beds explode in the nether?
The beds only let you sleep in them when it’s night time, and this lack of time apparently confuses them to the point of spontaneous explosion. Sleeping in the Nether has never worked, but before Beta 1.6 the beds were neither sentient nor quite as explosive; you’d simply get the “you can only sleep at night” message.
