What are the features of community identity?
Community identity is commonly based on birth and belonging rather than on some form of acquired qualifications. The ascriptive identities and community feeling is that they are universal.
What is chosen identity?
Your chosen identity includes the characteristics that you choose such as occupation, hobbies and political affiliation. Your core identity is made up of the attributes that make you unique as an individual such as behaviors, values, skills, and items from your given and chosen category.
Do identities change over time?
At any point in time, we can make changes that reshape our identity. Realizing our personal power is a liberating process, but certainly not one that’s free of anxiety. When we challenge our negative sense of identity, we can expect a degree of backlash and resistance.
How does our identity change as we age?
As people age, specifically men, they begin to struggle with their own identity. Roles which once dominated their daily lives now give way to others. When their identity as a provider, protector, worker changes, their positionality within the world changes with it.

Language is a vital part of human connection. Although all species have their ways of communicating, humans are the only ones that have mastered cognitive language communication. Language allows us to share our ideas, thoughts, and feelings with others. It has the power to build societies, but also tear them down.
What are values influenced by?
Personal Values are: They are influenced by our beliefs, our background, education, and our individual and wider social networks. Some of our personal ideas can originate from prejudice, myths and assumptions. We need to be aware of how our values influence what we do.
What factors influence buying decisions?
Many different factors can influence the outcomes of purchasing decisions. Some of these factors are specific to the buying situation: what exactly you are buying and for what occasion. Other factors are specific to each person: an individual’s background, preferences, personality, motivations, and economic status.
