What to do after applying Frontline?
Keep your pet dry for 48 hours.
- Do not bathe your pet after applying Frontline. Frontline should be effective on its own to treat fleas and ticks. A flea bath or dip is not necessary.
- Do not let your cat or dog swim for 48 hours after applying Frontline.
How often should you put Frontline on your dog?
Treat all your dogs and cats every month for optimal flea control. When applied correctly, FRONTLINE PLUS remains active against fleas for at least one month. If you are in a paralysis tick area, apply FRONTLINE PLUS FOR DOGS every 2 weeks to provide paralysis tick control for your dog.
What if my dog licks Frontline spray?
My pet has licked the FRONTLINE PLUS or FRONTLINE SPRAY. Will it be OK? If licking occurs shortly after application, a brief period of hyper-salivation may occur due to the taste. These signs are usually short lived.

You can reapply after two weeks – But be careful, as you don’t want to overdose your cat. You best bet would be to just give the vet a call and I’m sure they’ll let you know over the phone!
