Whatever happened to the movie? A long, long time ago … Warner Brothers bought the movie rights to the Septimus Heap series. Sadly, development stopped almost 9 years ago now, and in May 2019 Warner Brothers allowed us to have the rights back. However, they do come with a few strings attached.
