Which material is used to make fire resistance clothes for firefighters?

Can you shower with just cement board?
Cement board is the cheapest backer board for showers. We also like Wedi and KERDI-BOARD because they’re faster to install. And several Bathroom Repair Tutor videos show in-depth how to use these materials. We added tape to all the seams and then used a thin layer of thin-set to embed it onto the cement board.
Can you screw into cement board?
Cement board attached to plywood or similar underlayment will hold with only 1 1/4-inch screws; for thick or heavy metal fixtures, use 1 5/8-inch screws. In general, 1 1/2-inch galvanized nails will hold the board firmly in place. Even if you use this extra adhesive, you should still apply the nails or screws.
