Can you answer a question with because?
A frequently asked question from my grammar classes is this one: Can you start a sentence with because? The short answer is, yes, if you make sure it is in fact a complete sentence.
How do you answer because?
We can use because in an answer to a why-question: Why are you going to bed so early? ~ Because I’m tired. The because-clause can come first or second in the sentence: I ate a lot because I was hungry.
