Are all 302 water pumps the same?

Are all 302 water pumps the same?

No they’re not. I think it was ~’70 when the 302 switched to a drivers side outlet. Also even the ’65~’68 289’s had different waterpumps as some had a plate on the back and others didn’t. You also need to match the pump to the timing cover as the water passage holes faced differently.

Are all Ford 302 engines the same?

Heads went thru multiple variations, most stock heads sucked. With the exception of the Boss 302, all intakes for the 289/302/5.0 are interchangeable. Blocks went roller starting in 1985 and got better in 1987. The non roller blocks from 1980 to 84 are to be avoided.

Will a 302 water pump fit a 351W?

302 and 351W pumps are the same EXCEPT there are 2 different rotations of each and some have different mounting bosses for accessories.

Are 302 and 351w timing covers the same?

Registered. Yes the covers will interchange from 1 block to the other, but you have to match the timing cover to the water pump your using, either standard rotation or reverse rotation.

How do you measure the hub height of a water pump?

Put a flat object against the face of the water pump’s hub. Measure from the back of the water pump. You can get the correct length for the water pump with this.

What is the difference between counterclockwise and clockwise?

While Clockwise corresponds to movement in a rotary motion like any clock does i.e. from left to right whereas for counterclockwise (also referred to as anti-clockwise), the direction is in the exact opposite direction of the clockwise rotation i.e. from right to left.

Does the fan switch need to be up or down in summer?

In the summer, ceiling fans should rotate counterclockwise to push cool air down to the floor. The cool air evaporates perspiration and creates a wind chill effect, which makes you feel cooler without affecting the room temperature.

How do you tell if fans are push or pull?

If there are no arrows, then you can tell by the sticker on the center of the fan. The one with the company logo on it is usually on the side that the air is flowing to. For example, if the fan is on the top of the case and the logo is facing up, then it is pulling air out of the case.

Is push or pull better for radiator?

Electrical fans can either push air through the radiator or pull air through it. A pusher fan sits in front of the radiator. It pulls air through the radiator and has less impact on airflow at high speeds than a pusher fan since it is behind the radiator. Puller fans provide more cooling capacity than pusher fans.

Should the radiator fans push or pull air?

Preference should be given to a “pull” vs. a “push” fan. Mounted on the engine side of the radiator, a pull fan does not interfere with airflow at highway speeds. All shrouded fans should be on the engine side of the radiator.

Should CPU fans push or pull?

Air should travel in clear path through the case. Generally, you want the case fans in front of the case drawing in air while the fans at the rear blow air out. If your case has vents at the top, they should be placed as exhaust fans because hot air will rise.

Can you run a pusher and puller fan?

Yes, you can technically run a pusher and puller fan in conjunction. Because of that, the mechanical fan can only pull so much air through the radiator at idle and low speeds, making an additional pusher fan a useful addition.

Is up or down cold on a fan?

Ceiling fan direction in the winter should be clockwise, and the fan should run at the lowest speed. This pulls cool air up toward the ceiling, which in turn displaces the warm air that rises and collects near the ceiling. A clockwise ceiling fan direction for high ceilings is especially important in winter.

Which way should fan blades turn in summer?

During summer months, your ceiling fan blades should be set to spin counterclockwise. When your ceiling fan spins quickly in this direction, it pushes air down and creates a cool breeze.

Do ceiling fans cool down rooms?

A ceiling fan does not actually lower the overall temperature in a room, but it can definitely make a space feel cooler. A ceiling fan can help to pull cold air higher up, so it circulates around your face instead of your feet. These effects all combine to help cool you down even if the room temperature remains high.

Do fans actually cool you?

Ceiling fans circulate air in the room by pushing it down. However, they can not lower the temperature like a window fan or AC unit. But they can still cool you down. That’s because their breeze creates a slight wind chill effect that can help sweat evaporate from your skin, which cools you down.

Why AC and fan should not be used together?

With a ceiling fan, one can feel about 3 to 4 degree centigrade cooler, therefore if it is used along with an air conditioner, the load on the air conditioner can be reduced by keeping it at a higher temperature. In a moderately hot weather, ceiling fans can even allow you to avoid air conditioner all together.

Is it better to leave AC fan on or auto?

Keeping your fan on AUTO is the most energy-efficient option. The fan only runs when the system is on and not continuously. There is better dehumidification in your home during the summer months. When your fan is set to AUTO, moisture from cold cooling coils can drip and be drained outside.
