Why is my TomTom not updating?
In most cases simply trying to download the update again and leaving the navigation device connected to the computer resolves the problem. Make sure your navigation device is connected to MyDrive Connect. Make sure there is a stable Internet connection.
Do you have to update your TomTom?
In order to keep your navigation device up to date and manage all your content and services, you must have either MyDrive Connect or TomTom HOME installed on your computer. We release new maps every quarter, so we recommend that you connect your device to your computer regularly to ensure it is up to date.

Why does Tomtom take so long to update?
The bigger the file the longer it will take to download. If the speed of your internet connection is listed as ‘Not Recommended’ for the size of the file you want to download, try a location that has a faster internet connection.
Is built in sat nav worth it?
