Is baby food safe for hermit crabs?
Baby food is safe for a hermit crab to eat. They don’t like to eat the same thing too often. Baby food is a surprising addition to a hermit crab’s diet, but it can provide a whole host of health benefits.
What do you feed baby hermit crabs?
- crackers (no or low salt)
- unsweetened cereals.
- plain rice cakes.
- popcorn (plain, air popped, can be given occasionally)
- cooked eggs, meats and seafood (in moderation)
- freeze dried shrimp and plankton (found in the fish food section at the pet store)
- brine shrimp.

Can crabs eat shrimp?
Tanganyika crabs are not community tank friendly, they are omnivores like most crab species and they will eat anything they can get a hold of, including fish, shrimp, snails other (weaker) crab species, and any other slow swimming tankmates.
Can cherry shrimp live with crabs?
Usually Crabs, Crayfish, and Shrimp don’t mix to well together. It’s one of those trial and error things. You can try it, but don’t just throw a crab into a mix of cherries, use one or two in a small tank and see what the crab does to them.
Can Red clawed crabs live with shrimp?
They are also brackish water animal. In my experiance the red claw will eat anything it can catch, so you shimp would be at risk. Fiddlers would be less likly to kill the shrimp but they should not be put in that tank.
