What does being a detective feel like?
Detectives meet with victims, criminals, and witnesses attorneys and judges. They all have too much paper work, and see way too many things on a routine basis that most of us never see in a lifetime. Solving a case means going through many details, and often boring trivial junk in order to ferret out some truth.
Is being a detective anything like TV?
Nothing in the movies or on TV is like real police work. That’s one of the reasons the public has such inaccurate ideas about the job and why they think every crime can be solved in 47 minutes and three commercials! Detective work can be tedious, frustrating, and tiring. Most leads don’t produce the results seen on TV.

What makes a detective special?
