You cannot just add Vtech to an engine. This is a design that is built into an engine that makes it more efficient and create more power. In order to add this to a vehicle that does not have it you would need to install engine that has it already equipped and add the electronics to control it.
Can I put a VTEC motor in a non VTEC car?
Re: Will a VTEC run ok in a non VTEC car? yes, it will run just fine. though if you want vtec to work you will need to wire it up either straight to the ecu through the firewall (plug underneath the battery box, almost directly at the ecu) or through the shock towers to make it look OEM.
Can I make a non VTEC motor VTEC?

Can you put a non VTEC head on a VTEC block?
95 and under blocks have a plug in them when they are non vtec. if you put a vtec head on a 95 under block you have to remove the plug. So if you put a non vtec head on a vtec block, then id guess youd have to plug it back up then.

Is a B18b1 VTEC?
B18b1 is a good motor for turbo. Its low compression makes it a good choice. You can go the LS/VTEC route and put a vtec head on it. Golden Eagle makes a kit for this.
What does LS VTEC mean?
LS/VTEC designates the codename for a hybrid engine swap, sometimes better known as the Frankenstein swap. This is acheived with the block of a LS motor (b16b) attached to any b series head with VTEC. Usually the choices are the b16a2 (US SI engine) or the b18c1 (GS-R engine).
