yea all ex’s have vtec… the 96-00 (y8) motors usually just say HONDA across them. Just look for a solenoid to the left side of the head unit. If it’s present then its VTEC if not then no V-TECH. FYI, the only sohc vtec engines that had VTEC on the valve cover were 94-95 d16z6 and jdm d15b.
