Can a goose swim?
Ducks and geese love to swim, and they are EXTREMELY cute when they frolic and play in water (don’t believe us?… It is not safe or healthy for them to swim in a putrid pond, so the water will need to be changed regularly. If you do provide swimming water, they certainly don’t have to have it every day.
Why do geese go underwater?
They may have either been foraging or using the water as a sort of refuge; it was impossible to determine their purpose, as they did not have any apparent food in their bills when they reappeared. They continued to dive underneath the water as my party floated past.
When can geese swim?

Yes, Wild Geese is edible. it is actually the best game meat to cook. Geese which are shot & caught in the wild, taste better then those frozen & bred in cages. Best to roast them over fire.
