Yes, they are both of the weasel family, otherwise known as Mustelidae/mustelids. I don’t know if they can interbreed but I doubt it. I don’t think anyone has ever tried to interbreed mustelids of different genera, which applies to honey badgers, also known as ratels (Mellivora capensis) and wolverines (Gulo gulo) .
