the procedure is as follows: scruff up the bolt face to be blued with sandpaper, (i used 400 and scrubbed it in a linear patter along the bolt face lengthwise). clean with dishwashing liquid and rubbing alcohol or acetone. heat the bolt with a hair dryer until you cant hold it anymore, and wear rubber gloves!
