Can you mix summer and winter washer fluid?
Yes you can mix them, it will just reduce the effectiveness of your winter fluid. Eg. If you have -40c Winter fluid and you mix it with half with your summer fluid, then you will likely end up with a fluid that has -20c freezing resistance.
Does it matter what color windshield wiper fluid I use?
Windshield washer fluid is generally always a blue color and has the consistency of water. The tubes from the reservoir can degrade and cause leaking over time and usage. This can simply be checked during your regular oil changes and check-ups.
Can you mix blue and orange washer fluid?
Yes, it’s just marketing gimmicks. Mix away ,but, only if it’s for the Windscreen. , Wrenching on my own vehicles since before I could drive. The orange fluid I am aware of contains a bit of silicone, to promote water beading in rain and prevent ice from sticking to the glass in the winter.

Mixing pink and blue would give you a more pastel purple, or light purple. The lighter the red, the lighter the purple.

windshield washer fluid is used straight out of the bottle, no need to dilute it.
How much does it cost to dilute wiper fluid?
Remove the screw cap, pour the concentrate into the windshield washer fluid reservoir, then add 2.5 quarts of water. The dilution ratio is 10 mL to the quart (yeah, don’t get me started on SI/US units; not my idea). I usually premix by the gallon (40ml/gallon) in an old windshield washer antifreeze bottle.
Can you use tap water washer fluid?
There are still risks with using just plain water. Water does not clean as well as washer fluid. It does not have the cleaning power that helps break apart insects and grime and could leave more streaks behind, impeding your visibility.
