Do engine flushes actually work?
A good engine flush can help loosen deposits and dissolve sludge, returning your engine to like-new condition. However, in old engines with high miles, the engine sludge may be the only barrier keeping engine oil from seeping through worn or cracked seals.
Are fuel system flushes necessary?
Cleaning your car’s fuel system is important because it enables the system to continue to dish out the right amount of fuel each and every time you step down on the gas pedal in your car. They’ll also clean out intake valves and cylinder heads for you and perform a full flush of your fuel system.
What does a fuel injector flush do?
These deposits tend to create a layer of build-up on the fuel injectors. A fuel injector cleaning service flushes out all the build-up and cleans the injector. By removing all the build-up of carbon deposits and flushing them out of the fuel system, your car engine will run smoother and become more fuel efficient.
Can you put fuel injector cleaner and gas treatment at the same time?
Yes you can but you may not need it or it may not help. If you have treated your gas for months of storage with a stabilizer as an example and you start driving and realize the car is not performing as it should in mileage, power, rough idle, clattering valves, etc you may think you need fuel injector cleaner.
Is gas treatment and fuel injector cleaner the same?
gas treatment is to treat the gasoline and keep it tip top. Injector cleaner is to treat the injectors and keep them tip top. injector cleaner will usually contain detergents to dissolve certain kinds of deposits in injectors.
Can you pour 2 bottles of injector cleaner?
Absolutely Yes. Fuel injector cleaners work in very diluted amounts, and twice the strength (same amount of cleaner in half as much gasoline) works just a little faster. After all, we’re talking about 12 ounces of cleaner in 12–15 gallons of gas, so the ratio of cleaner to gas is 100:1.
