Do you get 2 GCSEs for English?
English has been split into two distinct and separate GCSEs; English Language and English Literature. No longer is there a GCSE that mixes the two. Coursework does not count at all towards the final mark any more. All students will sit the same exam, and unlike the new maths GCSE, there will be no tiering.
Can I do GCSE at home?

Can I do GCSE online?
Our GCSE Courses are all studied online through our online campus that allows students to work in their own time with expert tutor support. Once you sit your GCSE exams, you will be awarded with an Edexcel GCSE qualification. Enrol on more than one course and you will automatically get 20% off.
Can you do GCSE for free?
GCSEs for free If you are under 19 and do not have a GCSE grade 4/C or above in either English or Maths, and are undertaking part-time courses of 150 hours or more during the year, you will also be required to study the relevant English or Maths qualification free of charge.
Is Level 2 maths the same as GCSE?
Level 2 is at the same level of the RQF as GCSE grade C or above (existing GCSE qualifications) or Level 4 or above (reformed GCSE qualifications). Whilst the level of the qualification is the same as that of a GCSE, the breadth of content is narrower.
Can I take a GCSE exam without going to college?
Yes you can, you need to be make sure in advance that you are studying for the correct exam, a single exam board can have a few versions of the same subject exam at the same level that don’t all cover the same material.
Is functional skills a GCSE?
Functional Skills is a qualification which is widely accepted as a GCSE equivalent.
Is functional skills easier than GCSE?
Functional Skills qualifications are an equivalent to GCSE. Functional Skills aren’t necessarily easier. You’ll still need to put in the hard work and revision. But, they can be better suited to students who have failed maths and English.
Do universities accept Level 2 functional skills maths?
Functional Skills Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 demonstrate your ability and competence in Numeracy and Literacy and are considered equivalent to a GCSE C or above. The qualifications are now accepted by the majority of universities for a variety of courses.
What is functional skills level 2 maths?
