How are Ford V8 cylinders numbered?
Starting at the front, passenger side, the cylinder closest to the radiator is #1. The cylinder directly behind it is #2, then #3, and finally #4 is located against the passenger side firewall. INPUT speed sensor is closer to the motor than the OUTPUT speed sensor, which is closer to the driver side end of the trans case. You need the output one. You don’t need to reset anything but you can disconnect battery for say an hour if you want to do it.
