How long does it take to fill out a Coalition application?
- Complete your profile on the Coalition site. This can be done any time after you create your Coalition account.

Why can’t I start my Coalition application?

No, you don’t. You can use a different email when you register for an account on the Common App. It won’t create any problems with your application.
Does common app save automatically 2020?
Apparently, Common App users hated that too! Now students’ work will automatically be saved every 90 seconds. And the application will also automatically save before a student attempts to upload a separate document, such as a résumé or supplemental essay response.
Can you save the common application?
You can save and edit your essay as you go. However, there is no automatic save function. So if you write your essay in the application, and your computer suddenly crashes before you’ve saved, you will have lost your work.
What to do after submitting Common App?
Following the submission of your application, all of the information you have provided is sent to the Common Application’s data warehouse where it is electronically distributed to the schools on your college list. From there, university admissions offices are able to download all of your information securely.
Can I edit my personal statement after submitting Common App?
You are allowed unlimited edits to the essay after your first application submission. To edit your personal essay, go back into the Common App tab and click on the Writing section. Simply click within the text box and make any changes that are needed.
Can you change your application after submitting?
In general, the Common Application is designed to be completed one time and submitted to all of the colleges at once, or over a period of time. If you need to change information on a submitted application, you must contact the college’s admissions office directly to ask how they would like you to proceed.
Can I change my coalition essay after submitting?
Yes, you can edit your MyCoalition Profile sections at any time, and can always add or change information as needed.
Can I change my application from early action to regular decision?
In fact, an Early Decision candidate can usually switch into the Regular Decision pool practically right up to the day the admission decisions are finalized. In addition, because your guidance counselor is also required to submit an Early Decision confirmation form, you should speak with him or her immediately.
Can I submit writing supplement after the deadline?
The recs themselves can be submitted after the application deadline. The same rule also applies for the counselor rec; if it’s something that someone else is writing for you, it doesn’t have to be in by the deadline.
Can you send different personal statements to different universities?
You shouldn’t submit the same personal statement to multiple different schools, just changing the school and program names. Even though the application committee won’t know this for sure, they’ll get a sense that the whole statement is just a little too generic.
Can you write more than one personal statement?
No, you only write one personal statement that all of your choices see. The same goes if you apply to further universities, or courses in Extra or Clearing.
Can I submit different Common App essays?
Students sometimes ask us whether or not they can submit different versions of the Common Application essay to different schools. As we’ve said before, the Common App is changeable. So yes, you can absolutely change the essay, submit it to a school, change it, and submit it again.
