Download the “Halo_2_Cartographer_Win_Setup.
Open the downloaded .
Open the extracted “Halo_2_Cartographer_Win_Setup” folder and then open the “Game Files” folder.
Double click on the file called “h2pc_setup_1.
You can now launch Halo 2 from your desktop shortcut.

You’d definitely be missing out on one of, if not the best, Halo campaigns. It’s so different to just read about it as opposed to playing through it and experiencing it. Even if you push through it on easy, I highly recommend not skipping it. I mean you could always play on easy and do it super fast.

You can stick Halo: Reach in there between 3 and 4, if you really want to.
You can either play Halo 3: ODST between Halo 2 and Halo 3, or you can play it after Halo 3.

That being said, unless you’re a Halo veteran, I would not recommend playing through on Legendary for your first run through any of the campaigns. For a newcomer, it’s just plain not fun – especially the BS oneshot snipers in the second game. Heroic is the most balanced in terms of challenge and fairness.

Heroic has always been the “proper way to play halo” according to the devs. It’s honestly the most balanced difficulty. Legendary is the challenge difficulty. Easy is for kids and normal is for most people who just want to play the game.

Should I play Halo 3 on Legendary?

Halo CE, 3, 4, ODST, and 5 are all perfectly fun on legendary. CE especially i always enjoyed the most on the highest difficulty. I think if you want more difficulty in 2 or Reach you should just play heroic with some skull modifiers on.
