Park the vehicle on a level, paved surface and set the parking brake.
Remove the wingnut on the top of the air cleaner and remove the air cleaner.
Look at the crankshaft pulley.
Rotate the crankshaft with a ratchet and socket.
Hook up an inductive timing light to the engine.
