How does a peer review work?
In science, peer review typically works something like this: A group of scientists completes a study and writes it up in the form of an article. They submit it to a journal for publication. The authors may then revise their article and resubmit it for consideration.
Are peer reviews effective?
Peer review is effective for team building. If peer review is attached to performance appraisal and, by default, employee rewards and recognition, then it is effective at providing support for collaboration and teamwork. In the end, the one that benefits the most is the organization as a whole.
Is open peer review good?

How do you suggest a reviewer on a cover letter?
When suggesting potential reviewers, it is advantageous to give 3 or 4 names with contact information (address, affiliation, e-mail address, telephone/fax number), either in the cover letter, or in the appropriate section which can be found in some online submission formats.
