Is CLR dangerous to use?
Our CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover is non-toxic, water soluble and biodegradable. The chemicals in the product are derived from vegetables, however we recommend all safety precautions be followed, per the back label of the bottle.

Which is better Limeaway or CLR?
Both CLR and Lime Away are excellent tools for cleaning your kitchen and bathroom. Lime Away’s spray bottle makes it the easier to apply option. CLR seems to have a slight edge in how effectively it removes certain stains. Either will be far more effective than any all-purpose cleaner with minimal scrubbing needed.
Can I mix CLR and vinegar?
No. The two products have different ingredients and, as is true with any cleaner, should never be mixed with another cleaner.
Does CLR lose potency?
CLR should be used full strength and not diluted with water — it loses potency very quickly. Once the calcium has been removed, wash away the CLR residue by cleaning thoroughly with a spray of vinegar or light ammonia solution.
