June 29, 2021 Updated: June 29, 2021 5:33 p.m. The Battleship Texas will open for the July 4 weekend, the Battleship Foundation said. The battleship is located at the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site in La Porte. Hours for tours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
