Is urkund free?
All universities in India, public and private, have been given trial access to anti-plagiarism software Urkund August 2. As part of the exercise to prevent plagiarism in the coming years, we are providing free of cost anti-plagiarism software to all 900 universities, including private players.
Which is better turnitin or urkund?

What does urkund check?
Ouriginal only compares text from its sources with the text that has been submitted. Subject teacher or examiner are the only ones who may have professionally justified suspicion whether the textual similarities are plagiarism or not. If plagiarism is suspected, this must be reported to the institute.
How many times can I submit to Turnitin?
You are allowed three resubmission attempts where the Similarity Report will generate immediately. After three attempts, you’ll have to wait 24 hours before a new Similarity Report can be generated. Resubmission attempts are shared between you and your instructor.
What is a bad similarity report on Turnitin?
Turnitin similarity score is considered bad if it is beyond 30% on the originality report, and the matching content is not cited and referenced.
Can turnitin detect rewording?
Turnitin does not flag essays that include plagiarized ideas or concepts, nor can it detect paraphrasing that dramatically changes the wording of an original source while maintaining that source’s organization.
