Our Study Happy penguin Kirby has become the mascot to students here on campus to promote Study Happy events. Let’s see what he has got up to over the past year…
Study Happy is our Library campaign to help support student learning & development and promote a healthy study-life balance. We hosted a range of events through the year to make sure you’re doing everything you can to stay healthy and happy while you study. Let’s take a look at the highlights of the past year with Kirby as our guide…
Kirby arrived to Warwick in 2014 working on the #StudyHappy campaign.
He became an official member of the University in April 2015 ……..
During this academic year 2014-15 there have been many #studyhappy events for students which have taken place in the Library, Learning Grid Rootes and Learning Grid University House.
Here are some photographs from this years events:
- PAT dogs
- Craft making….
- Learning to play the Ukulele….
- Sessions asking students for their suggestions on revision tips, healthy eating, how to beat the January blues and more…
At which Kirby has provided healthy fruit…
but also….CAKE
Also during the year there have been skills workshops and drop-ins on prezi, presentation skills, iMovie, clinical skills and many others, which were tailored for students and run from both Learning Grid Rootes and The Studio in the Learning Grid at University House.
(There’s Kirby at the front – just out of sight…)
Kirby has had a busy year and is looking forward to seeing you in the new term at our #Study Happy events. We’d love to hear your suggestions for events for next year so let the Community Engagement team know your ideas!
