Praxis Sociológica. Monográfico sobre sociología de la educaciónPraxis Sociological is an electronic journal in the Area of Sociology of the Faculty of Juridical and Social Sciences of Toledo, University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), with a monographic publication annual. It was founded by professor Felipe Centelles Bolós in the year 1992.

Intended to be a channel of communication and dissemination of sociological knowledge among the social scientists all over the world. Currently, one of the objectives of the Editorial Board is the internationalization of the journal, especially to the academic communities of Latin america and north America, so that the magazine supports the collaboration of authors in national and foreign.

The magazine is governed under the principles of freedom, coherence, ethics and systematization that requires scientific knowledge. It is composed of the following sections: signature guest, articles, monographs, an international commodity, article, regional, and book reviews bibliographic.

The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) has released online the latest issue of the electronic journal, Praxis, Sociological, edited by the Area of Sociology of the Faculty of Juridical and Social Sciences from the UCLM ,and is dedicated to the Sociology of Education.

As reported by the regional University, in this number also includes chapters on school absenteeism in Castilla-La Mancha, adult education or the problems of immigrant students, among others.

Founded more than two decades ago by professor Felipe Centelles, who died in 2009, the magazine Praxis Sociological “is intended to be a channel of communication and dissemination of sociological knowledge among the social scientists all over the world”.

Currently, one of the objectives of the Editorial Board, which form part of specialist college of the united States, Spain and Portugal, is the internationalization of the journal, especially to the academic communities of Latin america and North America.

The magazine, say their promoters, is governed under the principles of “freedom, consistency, ethics and systematization that requires scientific knowledge” and is composed of the following sections: signature guest, articles, monographs, an international commodity, article, regional, and book reviews bibliographic.

The number 17, of recent publication, includes a collaboration of the sociologist cuenca and a professor at the Complutense University of Madrid Julio Carabaña Morales, who makes an analysis on the effect of the LOGSE in the early school-leavers.

In the area of monographs discusses issues such as the sociology of education to the knowledge society, education as an object of study of the social sciences, inequality of education, the educational value of the theatrical practice, the secondary education of adults or education in the cases of social exclusion.

The publication includes an article on international perspectives of sociology european and one regional on absenteeism in compulsory education in Castilla-La Mancha.

The next issue of Praxis Sociological be published in 2014 dedicated to the sociology of health.
