Is Alton Towers suitable for 7 year olds?
In this post, I will cover all the rides that I feel young children will love, especially for 4-8 year olds. There is a good selection of family rides outside of CBeebies land at Alton Towers. Plus a few other things to see and do. One thing to note is that Alton Towers is vast.
Can you take own food into Alton Towers?
Yes you are allowed to bring your own food and picnics inside the theme park.
Can you take backpacks into Alton Towers?
Guests cannot ride with bags or loose items on our rides and so will be required to place bags either in lockers or on the ride platform. These facilities vary from ride to ride and belongings are always left at the owners risk. Please see our T&C’s for more info.

The park offers automated luggage lockers for storage of all items, big and small. There are a number of automated luggage locker points around the park, including: Towers Street (next to the toilets by the turnstyles) Dark Forest (by the Rita tunnel in the middle of the area)
Can you wear bum bags on rides?
2 answers. Hi Sandra, you won’t be able to take any bags on most of the rides. Most rides provide shelving to put your bags on whilst you’re on the ride, and some rides have a baggage hold where staff take care of your bags whilst you’re on the ride.

What time should you arrive at Alton Towers?
1) You must get there for 9am. 11am is far too late and is a waste of time going. The park opens at 9am and allows ALL guests in, regardless if you have bough extra ride time tickets or not.
