We wondered what would be the defining food items from each of the 29 states of India and came up with the following list:
- Maharashtra – Misal Pav.
- Punjab – Makki Di Roti & Sarson Da Saag.
- West Bengal – Kosha Mangsho.
- Gujarat – Dhokla.
- Kashmir – Rogan Josh.
- Tamil nadu – Pongal.
- Assam – Papaya Khar.
