Each of the schools has its own set of requirements, as does each major, so it is not possible to have a double major across two schools, but it is common to minor in a different school from where one majors, and interdisciplinary study is encouraged.

Come prepared with at least 5-10 questions to ask. If being interviewed by an alum, pick their brain about why they chose the school and what were their favorite and least favorite aspects, in an effort to basically get them talking about themselves for the last few minutes of the interview.

Each interview will be unique based on the interviewer and the applicant, but some topics that may come up include: academic interests, extracurricular activities, summer experiences, family background, future plans, and exposure to Georgetown. Those topics are not an exhaustive list, merely a few examples.
What does Georgetown look for?
Georgetown seeks students that look inward and think about community. This aligns with its Jesuit traditions to educate the whole person. The idea of a common community is also a big part of the Georgetown philosophy so they look for students who will be able to step into the community and actively contribute.
What does it take to get into Georgetown?
Georgetown, with acceptance rates of 10-15%, is only hunting for students that possess 98th percentile (and above) standardized test scores and have earned mostly A’s in a highly- rigorous secondary curriculum. If Georgetown is your aim, make sure to also have a rock-solid backup plan.
