Should I stay Custer or Keystone?
As far as where to stay, it really depends on what you like. I would say if you like having plenty of amenities, I’d stay in Keystone or Hill City. If you are more into the rustic scene, Custer would probably be quite fun. I do think, however, that Keystone and Hill City are a bit more centrally located.
Is Deadwood SD worth visiting?
Worth it enough that I decided to live there and work in living history for the town. Of course it’s a bit touristy, but the whole town is a national historic landmark so the tourists it brings are the people that like history. There is plenty to see and do while in Deadwood.
