Does it matter what classes you take senior year?
UCs do look at courses you take in freshman and senior years; the grades and rigor of your coursework are considered in context of your overall curriculum. But freshman and senior year grades are NOT included in the GPA calculation.

The answer is that it depends on the school district, but it’s highly doubtful. Even if a middle school suspension did go on your permanent record it’s doubtful it would affect you in any way. A single suspension 5 years in the past isn’t very notable for a college or employer.

Is giving homework over break illegal?
No, it is not illegal. However, in my opinion, it should not be allowed and if they do decide to assign homework over the break, they should not assign too much. Recently my history teacher just gave me a ton of quizzes, activities, and a test to do over the Thanksgiving break.
Is it illegal to keep students from going to the bathroom?
It is not illegal for a teacher to “not allow” a student to use the restroom. A teacher must manage students and their learning and more than not a student can wait for the appropriate time for a restroom break. The health and safety of students is paramount and any teacher endangering a students health can be liable.
Can teachers say shut up?
No. They’re not supposed to yell “shut up.” It’s also not a big deal. Your teacher is not going to be disciplined or terminated for this unless you have a very irresponsible or retaliatory administration.
