What do newborn cubs eat?
Young cubs drink milk from their mother’s teats. It is good for them and helps them to grow quickly. At around two to three months, they begin to eat meat as well with their small milk teeth. These are their ‘baby teeth’.
Do bear cubs drink milk?

Does hanging a bear bag work?
It’s rarely effective against a determined bear. Unless your hang is textbook perfect, a determined black or grizzly bear will probably get your food. No hang method is immune. Bears have been known to chew through cords, break tree limbs or trunks, and lunge at food bags, tearing them open as they fall.
What can I use instead of a bear canister?
If you are camping in bear habitat but but there no reports of bears stealing food and no hard-sided canister requirement, use an Ursack Major or Ursack AllMitey (which is also rodent resistant). When staying at high-use campsites in bear-free habitats, rodent-hang your food (see below).
Is Ursack waterproof?
The Ursack Minor is not waterproof and doubles in weight (from 5 oz to 10 oz) when it is soaked by rain. The Ursack Minor is not waterproof, items in the bag can become wet, and the fabric of the Ursack Minor can become waterlogged, which makes it less than appealing to store back in your pack the next day.

Can I use Ursack in Yosemite?
Note that in Yosemite you can’t use an Ursack, a soft bag made of an extremely tough fabric impenetrable to prying bears that came out a few years ago. They’ve done well in tests with real bears, but most national parks still bar them from use because the results are not sufficiently conclusive.
Can you leave food in your car in Yosemite?
You may store food inside your car or truck (out of sight, with windows completely closed) only during daylight hours. You may not leave food in a pickup truck bed or strapped to the outside of a vehicle at any time.
How big are bear boxes in Yosemite?
The lockers measure 17 inches deep by 49 inches wide by 17 inches high (43 cm x 124 cm x 43 cm). Be sure to keep the locker closed and clipped: a bear may enter your campsite even in your presence.
