What does it mean if something is due by?
I’d like to talk a bit about the differences in the terminology and implied meanings of “due on” and “due by”. “due on” implies that something is due on that day, maybe by a certain time on that day, but on that day. “due by” implies that it’s due before that specific day, that when that day hits, it’s considered late.
When something is due on a day what does that mean?
In general, the words “due on” take on their ordinary meaning – that is, that the performance of a contract is required on or before the date specified. If a contract has a due date it means on or before that day. If it does not specify a time it means before 99PM on that day.
Does deadline mean day before?
Deadline means “this day at the latest”. That day. you can give it to your professor at 11:59 Pm as long as its the 15th. once it hits 12:00 it’s the 16th and late.
Can I submit something on the deadline?
If this is a due date for work, generally you can submit right up until the last hour before quitting time on the date due. And…. most people do.
Does submitting your application ahead of the deadline improve your chances?

What is the difference between a priority deadline and regular?
When you apply Regular Decision you are applying by a college’s Regular deadline, which is typically in early winter (January or February). Priority Admission is when a college sets a date by which applications given the most consideration must be received. This date precedes such colleges’ Regular Decision deadlines.
Does applying early help your chances?

What is the difference between initial and final transcript?
The initial transcript reflects a student’s grades 9th – 11th grade. The final transcript reflects all of a student’s grades 9-12 and will be available a few weeks after graduation. 3. The UC schools only request a final transcript after they have admitted the student.
Do I request an initial or final transcript?

What is a secondary report?
The Secondary School Report is a form completed by the applicant’s guidance counselor that provides Dartmouth with an overview of the applicant’s academic record. This form can be submitted online via the Common App. Along with the required School Report, your counselor should also submit their letter of recommendation.
