Is iready timed?
Schools are using the i-Ready diagnostic in reading and mathematics. How long does it take to complete an assessment? Although the assessments are not timed, it usually takes students about 45-60 minutes to complete each assessment.
Does iReady affect your grade?
iReady is not a “high-stakes” test and the results are not factored into student grades. The iReady scores are just one piece of a student’s mathematics profile and are used in conjunction with many other mathematics assessments and performances.
Why is iReady so bad?
I-Ready causes stress for students and does not teach anything to students, is a big waste of time and has no benefits. It can cause hours of time to get past the tutorial of 1 lesson. Not to mention, usually teachers assign at least 5 lessons of I-Ready a week.
Is iReady good or bad?
i-Ready is an amazing complement to what we were already doing in the classroom. The Diagnostic is definitely a great starting point for the children and for myself, but beyond that, children need to get into those lessons, onto their computers, and also have some backup support material from me.
