Scoring and ranking A perfect score is 46. At the Chapter and State levels, ranking is determined by either raw individual score or by the results of the Countdown Round, depending on the state/chapter.

How hard is mathcounts?
The competition in MATHCOUNTS is very stiff. The first person to run down the hall to the judges and get the correct answer first will get double points. The MATHCOUNTS program helps me not only with solving problems, but also with my confidence in math class. This program also helps me augment my speed.
