A narrative or traditional literature review is a comprehensive, critical and objective analysis of the current knowledge on a topic. A literature review will help you to identify patterns and trends in the literature so that you can identify gaps or inconsistencies in a body of knowledge.
What is a systematic review of literature?
A systematic literature review (SLR) identifies, selects and critically appraises research in order to answer a clearly formulated question (Dewey, A. & Drahota, A. 2016). It involves planning a well thought out search strategy which has a specific focus or answers a defined question.
What is the difference between systematic review vs meta analysis?
A systematic review attempts to gather all available empirical research by using clearly defined, systematic methods to obtain answers to a specific question. A meta-analysis is the statistical process of analyzing and combining results from several similar studies.
